Family Directed will receive The Bluegrass Care Navigators Aging Care Award at thirteenth annual MediStar Awards.
This distinguished award is presented to an organization that “has advanced the level of care for the senior community through innovative methods resulting in reduced costs and improved quality of life.”
Other 2019 honorees include Humana, the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Bluegrass Care Navigators, BehaVR, and Leadership and Innovation in Academic Medicine (LIAM).
“We understand the relationship between those in need of care and those that provide care is critical to improving in-home care. Family Directed, and the technology platform that supports it, allows families to receive higher quality of care, pay less, and compensate caregivers with a competitive wage,” said Family Directed President Kiel Dowlin. “We do this by dramatically reducing traditional home care fees and pass the savings to the care recipient and caregiver. This approach is supported by a mobile app that offers Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and care management resources – quickly earning trust and delivering more consistent in-home care for families.”
The MediStar Awards will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Ky.
